It was an entertaining game. There will be lots of celebrations for the Australians while Tunisian coach Jalel Kadri will need to have some hard conversations with his team.

Australia deserved the win. They were the better team in the first half. Even when under pressure in the second half, the Socceroos were comfortable in defence with Tunisia struggling to seriously threaten the goal of Mat Ryan.

Australia are very much alive in the World Cup again, and a positive result against Denmark in their final game could see them advance to the last 16.

For Tunisia, they need nothing less than a win against France in their final game.

It appears that interesting things have happened to Harry Souttar’s Wikipedia page during the game.

While he plays for the Socceroos, he was born in Scotland and represented Scotland at the U17 and U19 levels before switching his allegiance to Australia at the U23 level.

The victory keeps their World Cup hopes alive after their 4-1 defeat to France in the opener.

Sassi is booked. He is not in agreement with the referee’s decision and is making it known.

Tunisia’s attacking inefficiencies have shown in this game. They now have only three minutes to find an equalizer. They have not truly tested the Australian defence.
