    ‘Individually, we were exceptional’

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has also been speaking to TNT Sport:

“We dominated the game, and we had to adapt to what they do and their quality. We had to raise our standards. We knew that before this game, and I think individually, we were exceptional.”

On whether Arsenal can win the Champions League: “We have a really good record so far, and we have to continue. We enjoy tonight, and then tomorrow, we start to prepare to go to Stamford Bridge.”

‘It was an all-around great performance’

More reaction from the Arsenal camp, and Declan Rice has also been speaking to TNT Sport:

“It was an all-around great performance as it is Bayern Munich, and they have been unbelievable this year.”

On playing next to Zubamendi: “It has been so easy to play with him. Usually, to build a connection with a player takes a while, but from the first moment together in preseason, I could just tell I was going to play some really good football with him.”

On Arsenal’s set-piece success: “The delivery is a big part of it. To score the goal, you need a top delivery. It is about repetition. We don’t get to work on it a lot because of the game schedule, but we know what we have to do, and we know our routine.

On whether this is a different Arsenal than last season: “Yeah, definitely. There are a lot more leaders in the team, a lot of players who have been here for a while and know what it takes to play for this club. We know how important it is in every single game, and the mentality has been different this year. There is a hunger and desire to go and win every game.”

    A rare defeat for Bayern

To give some context on how good Arsenal’s win was tonight – Bayern Munich haven’t lost a game in all competitions since the Club World Cup in the summer.

We suffer our first defeat of the season.

Tough result, but we'll keep our heads up ❤️🤍 pic.twitter.com/vZpKfcc5ga

    The last 100% record standing

Five wins from five for Arsenal in the Champions League and they are sitting pretty at the top of the table on 15 points.

Bayern Munich’s own 100 percent record fell at the Emirates tonight and Inter Milan’s perfect run has also come to an end.

The Italian side lost 2-1 at Atletico Madrid this evening, conceding a very late goal to suffer defeat.Champions League table.

    ‘It’s an incredible statement’

Arsenal goal scorer Noni Madueke has given some on-field reaction to TNT Sport. This is what he had to say:

“It’s amazing. My first goal, and I couldn’t have picked a better game. It is always difficult as an attacker; you want to hit the ground running, but sometimes you have got to wait.”

On the statement this Arsenal win makes: “It’s an incredible statement. We know the work we have put in, we are so togethe,r and we go into these games now with a real confidence that we will get the job done.”

On facing Chelsea next: “We will see on Sunday. They have got a top team, but we are a top team, so it should be a good game.”

A huge win for the Gunners

Arsenal can’t put a foot wrong at the moment.

After hammering their bitter North London rivals at the weekend, the Gunners have swept aside Bayern Munich.

They are top of the table in the Champions League and the Premier League and look unstoppable right now.

    A tough night for Kane

The Bayern striker is roundly booed as he holds up the ball in his own half. I imagine he has not enjoyed this return to North London.

    The Emirates erupts

Arsenal break and Eze spots the run of Martinelli, setting him up with a ball over the top.

Neuer comes a long way out of his goal and is unable to get the ball, leaving Martinelli with a clear run at an empty net.
